Any idea what this rubber piece is?

Hey all, noticed a small hemispherical (is that a word?) rubber piece stuck to the bottom of the passenger-side window.

Was flicking through photos and I think this might have always been on the car since my ownership but I only spotted this a few days ago.

Any idea what it could be? It came off with ease but it had an adhesive layer on the base so I suppose it had some purpose? Didn't spot a similar piece on the driver-side.

It's from the factory relating to cars where the door is initially out of line during the build. They should be removed by the dealer as part of the PDI.

Cheers! Learnt something new today.

I'm surprised it was able to survive 8 years and 2 previous owners before being removed... makes me feel kind of special 😁
 
yep

Mine had these when purchased new .. had to remove them myself
and even more worrying the dealer did not have a clue why they were there
