Just wondered, are there any events happening with the F TYPE OWNERS CLUB for 2016. Is it something people would like to partisipate in or does everyone just do thier own thing or is there local events happening

I think you missed one last weekend in Derbyshire.

Regarding this forum....there hasn't been much in the way of meetups since i've been here, but maybe it's about time to buck the trend??? There are more of them out there now, so....

There is an events page on the forum...have a look and see whats been suggested in the past.
Willing but not that organised so far :)Though I am meeting a few folks in geneva if you fancy a reeeaaaaly long drive :p

The ftype ec are a bit more on the ball events-wise, although more xks than ftypes.

Jess

E type meet at Prescott hill climb on 12th of the month

I've had confirmed that all jags are welcome

Hi. We are from Holbeach. Lincolnshire if anyone fancies a meet up.
<edited><editID>Kiwanja</editID><editDate>2016-06-02 05:33:37</editDate></edited>

I drive past Holbeach lots of times a year on my way along the A17 when I go to my boat.

I/we usually call in at the Anglia Motel for a cuppa. If i've got my dog with me, he usually gets the VIP treatment from the owners and the staff, and he can stretch his legs etc..in their field.

I always feel like i'm on holiday when i'm heading through there.
Know it well, I live 5 minuted away from the cafe. I would say you could see my house from there.

Small world!

In that case you'll have seen the owner's red E-Type
Not seen the E Type but noticed the air craft on the front and the tank....Must admit i have never been there to shop

Living so close, that's understandable.

Keep a look out for it now and again through the summer months. He usually parks it somewhere on the front to add a bit of interest for people dropping in.
It's an early(ish) red coupe on wires. Looks unrestored but in great condition.
There's a couple of meets on the South Coast in August organised by other clubs which are open to all:

http://www.arundelcastle.org/whats-on/events/xkec.html
http://www.wealddown.co.uk/whats-on/vintage-steam-gallery/jaguar-enthusiasts-club-2016/

I'll probably go along to both as they're local to me. If anyone's thinking of making a weekend trip I'd suggest arranging somewhere to stay well in advance as it all seems to get booked up around here.
There's a Goodwood breakfast club called Full Throttle this Sunday (June 5) that I might go to. Not really a Jag event, but a car event nonetheless!

We went to the Arundel Castle 'do' last year, it was absolutely fabulous.

Did the Beaulieu Jaguar Show 'n Shine a few weeks ago which was another brilliant turnout.

We have lots of shows and runs booked up with the Dorset Jag Enthusists Club, and hoping to be on the Main JEC French tour in 2017.

Problem with being down South, is that most things seem to be happening up North! I think we are all a bit too thinly spread to put on a forum meet?
