Advice please (window trim)

I have the known issue of window trim coming loose - passenger side rear quarter)

Best adhesive (and technique) to get this firmly stuck back down please!

I’ve tried 3M VHB tape, but that only lasted a couple of days before letting go again.

I had the same issue but not as bad as yours. Have a read through this https://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=6232
If I was to do the job again, I'd first secure the black rubber behind the chrome trim to the bodywork and then the chrome trim to the black rubber.

It's also worth having a read through this topic https://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=6957

:D Thanks

I have the same issue but it’s not covered on extended warranty. The solution is to buy new trim. On the subject of extended warranty, my renewal quote has gone up from £1,284 last year to £1,656. When I queried the price they simply said the prices have increased and reflect the age of the car. I intend to start a separate thread on the subject so apologies for the hijack!

Thanks for showing me the technique you used. I have done exactly that and it has worked a treat. Solidly stuck back down now.

👍 No probs, hopefully the repair will last.

You've saved yourself £577 for a new JLR chrome trim and that's without any labour/fitting charges!
