I'll have to give you call then. Mine is due for renewal on the 2nd July (and I have my renewal price through).

Disappointed. Tried them today. Much more expensive than my current insurer even with the 15% discount!

As one of the UK’s most respected specialist insurance intermediaries we have a panel of insurers who we will use to find members the most appropriate policy – with of course a club discount.

All this is possible, because we know that F-Type forum members' are enthusiasts of this Jaguar model, who have the experience of owning and driving these vehicles and are much less likely to make a claim than the average driver, and so we've been able to create special schemes that reward safe drivers like you.

Dan,

Whilst we would gratefully receive any discount, and of course you would more than likely pick up clients, it appears that this is
not actually a special scheme that rewards us; it's just blatant advertising/spamming of the forums is it not?

Spamming is something done by "visitors" who get shown the door pretty promptly.
This section of the forums was approved by Rob so it's a legitimate topic in the same vein as the ALA Gap insurance.

This form of promotion / advertising is rather disturbing, it seems that AF are not competitive even with their offer of 15% discount.
Has anyone on this Forum actually contacted insurance with this firm?

 Or are AF hoping to lure some innocent to purchase motor insurance off the back of fypeforums.

I contacted them in July on the back of this topic.

My renewal price with MoreThan was £516 which when I called to query why it was cheaper on compare the market they dropped it to £436 so it matched.

The Flux quote began with a "1"..... and had too mant zero's afterwards. I dont recall the exact price but think it was £1390 ish so triple the price for a performance car with a 15% discount! I've seen AF posting on another forum for my previous car with the same sort of comments. "how much".

I'm sure they would be competitive on some quotes, there must be a sweet spot for age/claims/postcode/mileage/usage/etc that would mean they are cheaper in certain circumstances otherwise no one would insure with them.

They were 3x more expensive that my current provider when I checked about 2 months ago (without any discount codes)

Just to add both sides of the story re cost …. I have a multi-car policy with AF and their quote to add my newly acquired F Type felt good. So I benchmarked it with some other multi-car polices - to get a like for like comparison - and of the couple of companies I spoke to no-one could beat it. So - for me - cost OK. It's all circumstance dependent I guess.

However, on service levels I was disappointed that …

A) as do many other insurance companies these days they like to try to make some extra income via a charge 'for their admin' of adding a car. Annoying! On a multi-car policy you are unlikely to only ever be adding to your cars on renewal date.
B) despite having set everything up in advance when I actually bought the car their 'IT was down'; so they couldn't get me covered and on the road without some delay, and,
C) then they sent some spurious paperwork relating to one of my other cars.

Oh well, the not so fun side of car ownership.

Used AF for the last 3 years on my BMW 6 Series and would always highly recommend, and always managed to beat comparison sites on price - Just switched to a FType R and they were quoting £1,600+ compared to the £675 through Elephant.

Pretty surprised given they are more sports car focussed and disappointed to move away from them, however I guess their panel of insurers seem to not like insuring FTypes by the looks of my quote and others previously.

I called them yesterday morning at 10:30 to run through a quote on my purchase that I pick up today. I was told that there is only 1 underwriter that can deal with F Types and they would call me back in 10 minutes.

Never heard back from them, so I went with LV.

Maybe Adrian Flux don't need the business anymore which must be nice.

i added details on their website over the weekend to get a quote. Not heard anything back yet - but not holding out any hope...

I never heard a thing. Online form completed last weekend and I called Monday morning to be told I would get a call back in 10 minutes.

You’ve definitely lost me as a customer. I’d recommend either making changes to your training or removing these posts from forums until you can respond to customers professionally. It’s reputation suicide to be carrying on like this.

Same with me, tried for quote last September, still waiting....or not now, won't try again, obviously don't need our business,
