400 sport badge

Good morning everyone, happy New Year!
I have a 400 Sport and recently noticed part of the rear 400 badge (the “Sport”letters) is missing. Not obvious as the letters are black and I have a black car.
Doing a search it appears that there have been instances of the Sport lettering falling off. I’m assuming the PO removed all the Sport letters rather than having a Sort , Port or Spor left on his rear.
Checking on the various Jag outlets the part is pricey, circa £110 plus shipping (you have to buy the whole badge).
However, Adamesh lists both the front and back badge. The back at £110 plus shipping and the front at £42 plus shipping

Now I understand the differences, the rear is on a curved surface and the front valance flat. However, the rear badges don’t look curved.
I’ve measure both and they appear the same size. Anyone, fit a front badge to the rear of a 400?
Do Adamesh or others ever have a discount period?

One final point, if I buy the front valance badge I would remove the 400 numbers from the card and use my existing 400 to align the card. Seem acceptable?

I had the same issue after wrapping my car losing some of the black letters along the way never to be seen again

I looked at all the badge replacements but too pricey for a few letters. I went to the chaps that wrapped my car and got them to replicate the sport letters in black vinyl - an exact copy of the font and size. Rather than raised as original they are essentially flat stickers. Have been to several car events with them on and no adverse comments or 'what happended to your sport badge'.

If you are interested can post you a set for £10 as of course they didnt do them for free!

Half my "P" came off during its annual wash in July.
Glued it back on!
Seems a common problem.

Thanks will keep that in mind.
I think I may try the front valance badge. Then I f the 400 badge falls off at a later date I have a spare.
The other issue is I think a black decal may be almost invisible on my black car
Thanks any way

Update
Just remeasured the front and back 400 badges and they are a different size😡
Means the only option is a hit for £110 +delivery from Adamesh

You might just save your money and go nameless.
I intentionally left my rear badges off after a paint repair.
The car looks better IMO without that clutter.
A number of others on the US forum agree.

Here is what it looks like.
I have changed the leaper and letters for black. The chrome badges kept reflecting the sun when the spoiler was raised. Felt Like I had been flashed by a speed camera so I changed them. I actually bought the F Tupe in Black but decided not to fit them and removed the chrome one.
However, I want to keep the 400 badges

In my opinion you should not de-badge a 400 Sport, I can standard de-badging the rest of the range though! As I have highlighted before those little yellow badges are worth their weight in gold. £110 well spent!!!

Agree.

Although, TBH, those black badges do look good against the red.

I intend to put the FType badge back and will buy the replacement rear 400 Sport badge.
Do Adamesh or other UK par suppliers ever have a discount purge?
