I like the look but not sure how the ride would suffer. For the moment I'm quite happy with my shiny black Vulcans & the spare six grand to spend on fuel (& beer) instead!
 
Hi Drat,<div>Did you get Vulcans with the car from new, or did you buy them after market ? I am interested to know as I am thinking of getting a set of Black wheels, black door mirror covers and bonnet vents, that way, one year I can be bad and black and the next I can be cool and chrome (which is how she is now). Also I think for a long run to the Alps, blacks would be better for the look and cleaning !!</div><div><br></div><div>let me know,</div><div><br></div><div>Jamie</div>
 
Hi Jamie<br />Bought them from a dealer advertising on eBay. Brand new including Pirellis exactly as the originals. They're from an XKRS but Jag dealers won't sell them as they're not supposed to be compatible with the car due to different offsets. I put a 7mm spacer on the rears & nothing at the front. The fronts are very slightly outboard & the rears slightly inboard (even with spacers) from the originals but the naked eye wouldn't detect this. Main thing is that they don't interfere with liners or bodywork. They completely alter the visual character of the car & make me look like a pimp/drug dealer & don't show up the brake dust. They also cost only slightly more than a complete set of new tyres so make financial sense too. If you want the seller's details, drop me an email to [email protected] & I'll find out if the chap has any more sets. There are others selling the same things but at higher prices.
