Does anyone know where i can get a 12v feed when the car is running and a 12v feed when the car is switched off? I'm fitting a new dash cam by the rearview mirror and the nearer to that they are the better..<div><br></div><div>I've current got one on a very long usb lead, but want to use parking mode, hence the need for 2 different live feeds.</div>

Take your feeds direct from the fusebox located under the glovebox, can feed the cable then inside the pillar trim to the top of the windscreen if required

I've started wiring my new dashcam in but what i can find now is a negative feed under the dashboard that doesnt involve cutting existing wires? Anyone found a bolt thats 12v negative?<div><br></div><div>I'm using piggyback fuses for the live feeds - no problem - its just the -ve.</div>

the best feed is from the fusebox under the passenger floor.<br /><br />What are you using to stop the cameras draining the battery when parked up

<div><br></div><div>Thats where i've fed the wires to, however i can't find an easily accessible negative - any ideas?</div><div><br></div><div>The dashcam i'm using has a built in parking mode that monitors voltage so hopefully that will do so. Its got 3 wires - negative positive permanent and positive ignition.</div>

Did you sort this just about to wire a cam in, I assume I can take a neg feed from some form of fixing by the passenger side fuse box

Can't help with specifics but I can definitely confirm that my dashcam was wired into the passenger side fuse box (but not by me as I don't trust myself!).

I did get it done. In the end i drilled a small hole is the bulkhead (inner not outer!) and put a bolt on a connector. There are plenty of negative feeds under there but if something has a black cable on it, you can't guarantee 12v - some are computer controlled i found. I didn't want to unbolt one one the bolts for the fuse board as they are difficult to get at.
