Wireless Carplay and mount

I was getting a bit frustrated with putting my phone in either the cup holder compartment or under the armrest so invested in an Ottocast U2 air pro, a cheeky magnetic mount and a short cable to the lighter socket. Early days but the Ottocast sits in the armrest compartment and works well. The positioning of the phone on the magnetic mount is perfect.

Nice solution for your problem. But if you have Carplay why do you need your phone out of your pocket\storage box? Just a distraction and temptation surely?
 
I use my phone for paying petrol, drive through and in and out of shops so it can be annoying having it in the there. This way its handy and on a magnetic mount so no need to keep plugging and unplugging all the time. If I am parked up waiting for my son and want to look at my phone I can do so without having to unplug it.
