I contacted my insurance company before purchasing the car to discuss the matter, and I was informed that as the Car is a group 50, the deciding factor is much more to do with location than age of driver etc, you are not going to believe it, but I pay £285 for the year with Tesco Insurance, which includes business one use, this is based on 5000 miles per year, and kept in Alarm garage with £700 combined excess, 19 years NCB and me being 45 years young. It surprised me ! as my XFR I had previously was £372, the year before, but was based on 12000 miles per annum.<div><br></div><div>Gives Tesco's a call, but remember the location is the main factor, I live in a sleepy Suffolk town <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /></div><div><br></div><div>Just for information, I have a Mercedes 2011 C350 AMG Sport Estate for my every day car, insured for 15000 miles per year, business one, and kept on driveway, £500 combined excess, which is £328 for the year, insured with Hastings, and my wife has a 2013 Range Rover Evoque Dynamic SD4, on 12000 miles per year, business one, kept on drive, she is 43 and has 15 years NCB which is £263 per year with Sheilas Wheels, not sure what her excess is, I think it is around the same as my merc.</div><div><br></div><div>Also, my son has a 2009 Renualt Cilo 1.2, which was his first car and including the fact he was 17 last year when we insured the car, we were very pleased to find that his insurance was £880, which was great as he had no NCB and it was his first car. He is insured with 'Insure the Box'. He is due to renew in June and they have currently quoted him £390, which again is great for an 18 year old with 1 years NCB, however this does mean he has to keep the 'Box', which my wife and I are very happy about !!</div><div><br></div><div>Jamie</div>
