Provides the best cover and price?<div><br></div><div>I'm trying the usual places/comparison sites, and I'm still around £750 p.a for 44yr old, full clean license, fully comp, £250 compulsory and £250 voluntary excess which I feel is a bit steep?</div><div><br></div><div>I wonder if anyone else has managed a steal of a deal?</div><div><br></div><div>Tel</div>

Best price for me was around £550 with Direct Line for a coupe. How many years NCB are you putting on this car?

I contacted my insurance company before purchasing the car to discuss the matter, and I was informed that as the Car is a group 50, the deciding factor is much more to do with location than age of driver etc, you are not going to believe it, but I pay £285 for the year with Tesco Insurance, which includes business one use, this is based on 5000 miles per year, and kept in Alarm garage with £700 combined excess, 19 years NCB and me being 45 years young. It surprised me ! as my XFR I had previously was £372, the year before, but was based on 12000 miles per annum.<div><br></div><div>Gives Tesco's a call, but remember the location is the main factor, I live in a sleepy Suffolk town <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /></div><div><br></div><div>Just for information, I have a Mercedes 2011 C350 AMG Sport Estate for my every day car, insured for 15000 miles per year, business one, and kept on driveway, £500 combined excess, which is £328 for the year, insured with Hastings, and my wife has a 2013 Range Rover Evoque Dynamic SD4, on 12000 miles per year, business one, kept on drive, she is 43 and has 15 years NCB which is £263 per year with Sheilas Wheels, not sure what her excess is, I think it is around the same as my merc.</div><div><br></div><div>Also, my son has a 2009 Renualt Cilo 1.2, which was his first car and including the fact he was 17 last year when we insured the car, we were very pleased to find that his insurance was £880, which was great as he had no NCB and it was his first car. He is insured with 'Insure the Box'. He is due to renew in June and they have currently quoted him £390, which again is great for an 18 year old with 1 years NCB, however this does mean he has to keep the 'Box', which my wife and I are very happy about !!</div><div><br></div><div>Jamie</div>

Also, as a sub Note, Tesco did say that the price of the car will effect the quote, one penny over £75k, places the car into the 'Special' class, so mine cost £74995 <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley10.gif" border="0" alt="Star" title="Star" /> and 6 pots not 8 !!

Mmm, sounds like I need to try Tescos!<div><br><div>I have 11yr NCB, although I should have 28 if you can have that much, but I let insurances lapse unfortunately!</div></div><div><br></div><div>Good price well zee, that's the figure I would like to pay.</div><div>I have been quoted this price by Bell, part of the Admiral group, using the money supermarket website.</div><div><br></div><div>I'll keep looking...</div>

Let us know how you get on , interested to see what the best is you can achieve <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" alt="Thumbs Up" title="Thumbs Up" />

I am due to take delivery of a V6 Coupe in early May and my insurance is with Tesco Bank. £280 with 10+ years NCB and 7,000 miles pa estimated . This is cheaper than my wife's Volvo Estate . We live in a mid/low risk Hampshire location <br /><br />We have been insured with Tesco for 5 years with no problems

<p>Blimey Mal, that is good. </p><div>The Tesco quote for me.....wait for it......a whopping £1304 <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley6.gif" border="0" alt="Unhappy" title="Unhappy" /></div><div> </div><div>I also live in a low risk area, garaged, 11 yr NCB, however I did have a bump 2 yeras ago which resulted in a £150 payout to the other side. It did not affect my NCB. I have 3 points for an SP30 due off in a couple of months. I have always stuck to 3K p.a mileage wise.</div><div> </div><div>The best i can find thus far is £720, 3K, protected NCB, £250 vol and £250 comp excess.</div><div> </div><div>I can only assume that having the extra 2 cylinders is the reason why I am in new driver territory!</div><div> </div><div>Regards,</div><div>Tel</div>

I pay £455 a year unlimited mileage and 2 drivers on the policy with LV.<div><br></div><div>I will not be needing it now however as I have just sold my car.</div>
