What is the BOX?

Ok guys a query for the experts.<br><br>I was looking around the windscreen of my F type today, trying to locate a possible location for a dashboard camera.<br><br>To the right hand side of the driving mirror right against the top of the windscreen is a small black finned box.<br><br>Anyone any idea what it is?<br><br>My only guess was an aerial for the phone/gps system.<br><br>cheers<br>
 
I'm no expert, and I haven't seen the box in question, however by the sounds of it, it could either be the regulator for a heated windscreen (if you have that option fitted), or rain sensor possibly.<div><br></div><div>if it has fins, then this is likely to be for dissipating heat, so it may well be part of the NAV or DAB setup perhaps.</div>
 
Many thanks for the suggestions.<br><br>The wiper control box does make sense.<br><br>It's funny how you don't notice things until your looking for something else.<br><br><br>
