Hi All

I am sure this one has been discussed many times but as I am new here I will ask anyway....

Is there really a benetfit of using the Premium Petrol on The Jaguar F Type instead of the regular petrol,

One of the usual advantages given of better mileage per gallon I have not found to be when using diesel on a ford van,I got no more travelling the same routes at the same time of day, using the computor of the van,I got the same results using both grades.

Any comments on the mileage or other perceived benefits ??????

Hi Ian, mine runs on Tesco 99 as all my performance cars do/have done.
Tel on here did some testing and posted the results

Do a quick search and you should find the results for his V8.

I switched to Tesco 99 after reading Tel's post on here and I definitely notice more pops and bangs from the exhaust. Whether there's a performance or fuel economy factor I'm not sure, but I do also feel a premium car deserves premium fuel.

It's pretty marginal performance gain wise, but I still reckon on the Tesco Momentum 99. The car ECU adapts to different fueles in any case after a small period of driving.

Bit of light reading for you though form our previous discussions....
