My F-type has now covered 44k miles, and now six years of ownership, so I thought it was about time to treat it!

After looking around the local area I decided to use this company, mainly because of the other two recent F-Types completed (although that 61' DB4 looks amazing!):

Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/VelocityDetailers

Decided on:
Deep clean paintwork, wheels & engine bay
Stage 2 machine polish to remove defects such as swirl marks, discolouration, wash marring and return the clarity in the paint
3 year ceramic coating option
Glass protection
Internal detail

Highly recommended and if you go and see John then let me know.

** Not an advertisement. Just a personal recommendation based on experience for anyone in East Midlands area and looking for car care services based on my experience. **

Only 15 mims from me. I have a couple of European road trips lined up in the next couple of years. I may have to get a quote after those.

Hi. I’m lucky enough to live in Melbourne where John is based. I’ve used Velocity twice this year already for my F-Type and have been so pleased with the results which far exceeded my expectations

Immaculately clean facilities, prompt turnaround, good pricing and John’s a great guy too

Highly recommended

Mark

Depends on the service required, condition of car etc, but basic price list online.

£400 for a 2-3 day long 2-step paint correction? That's barely above minimum wage! In the States, a good detailer will charge at least 10x more.

It's disgusting how detailing is undervalued in this country. Having spent 9 hours correcting the paint on my car two weeks ago, I reckon this job is worth at least £30/hour. I don't blame you of course and he clearly does a great job. I just feel sorry for him and for other professional detailers trying to make a living in this country.

And then there's the complete disregard for proper maintenance cleaning that we see all around. Today I walked past a lad who was using the pound jet washer near the office. He rinsed the car and then I saw him spraying something all over the paintwork of his 2020 black Mercedes which seemed like an APC. I thought that's someone who knows what he's doing. He will rinse that off and use a rinseless wash or take it home and finish it there. He then proceeded to grab that horrid brush and go all over the car! 🤡

You have quoted a small city hatchback and without the ceramic coating. F-Type stage 2 paint correction with ceramic coating is £900. Wheels and windows are optional extras as well. But he quotes based on condition of car.

Mine was £840 including wheels and windows back in Sept 21, not Velocity, but pretty much confirms what you can expect to pay.
