Trip to Tuscany

My wife and I are celebrating our 10 wedding anniversary by traveling back to the villa in Tuscany where we got married.

We left the uk on Friday afternoon and have headed down via Reims, Grenoble and then to Nice via Route Napoleon.

Route Napoleon is definitely the best driving I have done. I would personally rate it over the Black Forest and the Alps passes which we did on our last touring holiday.

We we got to Nice we had two nice touches. We got upgraded to a suite and the hotel parked our car outside the front of the hotel below our room. 2 Nights in Nice have been great with lots of things to see.

Today we are driving from Nice to Montepulciano to a villa called Villa Cicolina.

That sounds wonderful!
We did a similar trip 4 years ago, via the Swiss passes and back via Reims.
Enjoy the great touring scenery and Montepulciano wines 🙂

Sounds fantastic. More pics or it didn't happen! ;) I hope you enjoyed the autostrada along the Italian riviera and get a chance to try out the SR222 in Tuscany too. Enjoy!

Arrived in Montepulciano. A great drive the route was epic with loads of tunnels. Will try the SR 22 on Thursday. A day trip to Florence.

A great road-trip you have selected here Darren, and obviously nice places to stop over too. I suppose you're enjoying as well good food & wine.
You seem to have fitted a French télépéage transmitter, this makes toll stations crossing even more relaxed!

Looks and sounds fantastic- trying to convince the better half we can fit enough stuff in for a road trip (convertible) - this will definitely help .
Enjoy the rest of your trip

Definitely possible for up to 10 days Philb280.
Hang clothes in suit bags behind seats, so protected from dust when roof down.
Fill boot with coats, shoes, walking gear, wash bags, camera kit, wine, etc.
Barrel shape soft bags work much better than trying to make rigid bags fit.

Hi went into Multipuciano tonight and food and wine were exceptional.
Regarding the F type it makes a exceptional travel companion.
