Towing Eye and Recovery

Quick word of warning to recent owners ( or any others)

Make sure the towing eye is in situ in the boot; I hadn’t realised my new car was delivered to me without it; as I found out to my cost at the weekend when I blew a front tyre......without it loading/recovery is very tricky.

I’m still waiting for the car to be delivered back to me, despite it being promised for yesterday morning by Jaguar Assistance who are a bit shambolic. They also told me I’d have to make my own way home as with COVID you can’t travel in the cabs! After waiting Sunday night for 5 hours they agreed to get me a taxi and also the AA patrol said I would have been welcome to travel in the cab (juts a shame he couldn’t lift the car !)

Anyway, main thing was to warn others about the towing eye, but I’d be interested in other people’s experience of Jaguar Assistance.

It's not always for a bad reason, if you every do a track day they'll ask you to fit it in case your enthusiasm exceeds your ability

I've checked my boot and I can only find an industrial kids bubble blowing thingie!

What happened to choking a soft strop around both front lower wishbones and connecting the hook/chain to that?
