Thoughts/ opinion please on this set up

IMG_1212.jpegThis grey F type has been matched with silver sparkle wheels, instead of the standard black, just asking fellow forum members if you think it works well😊
 
I personally prefer silver wheels in most instances. I especially think they look better on darker coloured cars like mine.
However, something about this picture/these wheels just doesn't look right.

I'm not sure what it is. Whether it's the sizes or just the lighting, it just doesn't look "right" to me. I'm sure they aren't, but they almost have an aftermarket look to them.
It might simply be because I've never actually seen an F-Type with these wheels before, but I don't think I'm a fan of them. At least not based on that picture anyway.
 
I always find that wheels look totally different in the flesh - generally better than photos. My personal preference on the F type is for black wheels - with the tyre wall they just seem to fill the wheel arch better. If you end up going for this one and don’t like the wheel colour, a black refurb and powder coat in the future would probably cost c£350
 
I prefer silver wheels, totally black ones are ok under some circumstances and in certain colour configurations, however I find these rare. I don’t personally like the wheels on the car in the picture, however I think they look better in silver than they would in black.
 
I'm not a fan of that wheel style which probably gives me a negative bias, but the colour combination doesn't work for me. Hard to pin down exactly why.

It'd be boring if we all liked the same stuff anyway.

Edit: Although we all like F-Types 😂

Beauty and styling are very much in the eye of the beholder, and can be subjective (and divisive).

Personally, the combo doesn’t work for me but I’m not sure why?

Maybe, the silver wheels would work better with a darker body colour? @Barend picture, above - that works well 👍
 
Thanks for all your thoughts, at first sight I thought that’s rather nice and a little different, but on reflection it’s just to much silver going on.
