Steering wheel button ‘Chinese’ retrofit

Searched the forum but I don’t see any mentions of the switch packs you can buy for the steering wheel.

These seem to have the new style touch sensitive buttons and rocker switches. I say ‘Chinese’ as these aren’t OEM and seem to be a copy of the new JLR type wheel buttons.

I’m not sure if I even like them, but wondering if anyone knows about them and if they are any good?

I've purchased a lot of kit from Chinese companies over the years such as a JLR retrofit powered tailgate kit and in general find the stuff is perfectly adequate. I would not trust something that my life depended on.

Specifically on the butttons I'd question if they will work on such a broadbrush range of years and model ranges, not that I can even see the F Type listed.
I've done retrofit on the F Type steering wheel as have others and the switch pack frequently needs the circuit board changing to work correctly, given changes to heated rim, cruise, etc. so I'd be wary purely on that basis.

Makes a lot of sense, I think I’ll likely purchase the genuine switch pack and swap the board as mentioned.

On my Evoque I bought a terrain switch pack that looked identical but wouldn’t function, annoying that JLR have identical looking items that have a slightly different reference and refuse to work!

Thanks
