spotify - well kinda

i miss the spotify app and my stereo doesn't have apple carplay as its MY18 . but tonight while playing around with the stereo when you push the audio button then source it had my phone in there which is linked via bluetooth so i selected that and i can now play spotify from my phone. And as an added bonus i can skip tracks using the steering controls. Not sure if this works for everyone but its a small step if it helps someone else

I ditched Spotify a few months ago. I found it wasn’t giving me VFM.
Like you, the phone is Bluetoothing all my iTune library if I need an alternative sound to the addictive exhaust note.

If you have ICTP, regardless of if you have the 8" or 10" screen version, a SIM card in the car and the remote services activated you can connect the car's built in Spotify client software to your Spotify account. Spotify then becomes available under the Online media source in the car. Works really well with a pretty nice user interface and good sound quality.
