Following on from some interested members to attend a meet in the North - I have set the ball rolling by registering to attend this years Sports Cars in the Park at Newby Hall on Sunday 7th May.<div>They are expecting around 500 cars so it should be a great event.</div><div><br></div><div>If you are interested in attending with your F Type then log on to www.sportscarsinthepark.com and register your own username and password.</div><div>You can then update your Members Information by adding the f-type owners club as your car group. this allows the organisers to allocate enough space so we can park together.</div><div><br></div><div>Once registered you can purchase tickets through paypal £7.00 per person and then print off your own ticket.</div><div><br></div><div>At the moment there are around 7 forum members thinking of going and I'm hoping more will be encouraged to attend.</div><div><br></div><div>If you look at the Car Group you will see one is already down to go (that's me).....</div><div><br></div><div>It would be great to meet up with other like minded forum members & enthusiasts.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div>

Thanks for that Bri I now have my car booked in and I'm sure it will be a great day and the sun will shine. Let's show those Southern softies how it's done!!! <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Thanx for the invite ... would yo uknow if this event is like other 'park / prestige home' events whereby you have an entry by time and not eave before time?<div> </div><div>Its about 3 hrs for me but I'd welcome the opportunity depending on the above ...</div>

Senninha - regarding start and finish times - <div>Last year the times were 10:30 till 4:00 but people do start to drift away from 3:00 onwards.</div><div>Hope this helps.<br><div><br></div></div>

<p>All the events seem to be oop North, never down South....<img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" /></p>

Roads...what are they? we have farm tracks, ideal for the 4x4 F-Type <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley2.gif" height="17" width="17" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" /><div> </div><div>Norvern monkey........</div>

Senninha, you might need to get one of these before you go, so you fit in.<br><br><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/739/Whippet.GIF" height="167" width="208" border="0" /><br><br>Also, if you're thinking of staying over don't forget to ask for a room "wi'out coal in't bath" (they keep a few of these for Southerners). <br><br>

<img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley36.gif" height="17" width="17" border="0" alt="LOL" title="LOL" /><div></div><div></div>Also, if you find room in your boot, some other travel essentials for the journey 'oop North are:<div> </div><div> <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/332/images.jpg" height="157" width="180" border="0" align="top" /></div>

Just had a quick look on the website and it looks like we have been set up as an official group. <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley40.gif" border="0" alt="Party" title="Party" /><br><br>I'm just holding fire about committing to the event until I am a bit more sure about being free to attend.<br>

How many are going to this? I will be there.

Five from this forum are attending that I know of and a couple of others were thinking about it.
Cars are travelling from the north, the east and the west so it would take something special to coordinate.

However I suggest if possible we all meet just off the A1M and drive in together as groups of less than 10 cars won't be allocated a "pitch"
BUT - if we arrive together then we would be able to easily park together.

anyone fancy meeting up and driving there together?

Just catching up - I think it can be arranged - I have just posted another similar reply.
I will do a little homework and post a suggestion soon to all who I know are attending
