Spacers and Gyrodynes

Hello all, I've no doubt this has been covered before but am struggling to find the info I am after.

I am driving a 209 PP300 with Gyrodynes fitted as standard. I would like to fit spaces 15mm front and rear but it has been suggested that some grinding/shortening o the bolts may be required.

If anyone can shed some light on this one I would be grateful.

Many thanks

Hello Bobster,

15mm, all round, are the popular choice of spacer 👍

For the alloys to sit flush approx 3-5mm will need trimming off the existing studs. This can be done quickly & easily with a small grinder.

You are only removing a small amount of the stud & not touching the threaded section.

I have 15mm all round on mine, also lowered on Eibach springs with 305 rears 265 fronts. Yes the end of each stud has to be trimmed, small grinder and cut off the non threaded part, spacers on and torque the nuts.

If you are looking for spacers, keep an eye on AutoDoc as they do some nice deals, picked my set of four up for sub £100 delivered.
