Sounds different, suddenly

Just took car out for an hour after been stood for two weeks.

On way back with windows down I noticed the exhaust sounds a bit 'different'.

Hard to explain. But as I put my foot down it sounds flatter, blowier..maybe a bit more harsh. Just overall not as nice as it usually does.

Edit: just tried it again and I'd add that there's a sort of metallic scraping sound in the exhaust note as well. Not constant but comes and goes with the revs.

I've tried with valves open and closed, I get the usual different sound but both accompanied by this new aspect.

No warning lights on dash.

Going in for service end of next week anyway...just wondered if any ideas ?
 
Dunno...but sounds neither like old open or closed sound ....would stuck valve create a new noise ?
