Sat Nav information please

Hi all

I have had my F Type for a month now and have managed to find out how most of it works but I am having trouble to sort the sat nav ..

On my last xkr you could have the map fixed as in the normal view of the uk that is scotland at the top and cornwall at the bottom a fixed view.

I am finding that when I have the sat nav map on it constantly moves around as the car moves around the roads.....I know you can touch the compass pointer and it will fix the map but it will after a time go back to to moving as the car moves ....is there a control to fix the position of the uk in its position we all know.

On my 2016 I have a setting to choose between either direction of travel up or north up. If I understand your requirements north up is what you are looking for. It’s in the satnav settings menu. You may have a newer setup than me but either way it’s worth going into every menu option and checking what each does as some of the descriptions can be misleading.

I have a Ford, Audi and just rid of a Merc. (do I sound familiar? ) and don't bother with any in-car sat navs. Android Waze and Google Maps is far better i.m.o.
