Rockauto

I’m not sure why I’ve not mentioned this before, in my 8.5 years on this forum!

I’ve bought a lot of parts from RockAuto for my ‘65 Mustang.

It takes a bit of filtering to choose the required parts but the prices are always very competitive and you can view and pay including delivery and VAT, so no customs delays or additional cost surprises on arrival.

I’ve had some parts arrive in 3 days - better than some local 1st Class Royal Mail efforts!

Unfortunately no stock of cheap replacement headlights, but worth a look for general service and wear parts.

Typical link below that you can then navigate from…

Could be due to your memory playing up again? :D

Will have a look at the parts website link you posted! Cheers

Roof down, go for a drive, clear your head and smile 8-) - it’s the clear head on return that’s the issue ;)

Also used RockAuto a lot over the years for Jeep parts.
To echo your sentiment - great prices, even after you add import and VAT they inevitably end up better than you'd source here. Speedy delivery which is often quicker than a UK supplier and staff that are really competent in answering questions.

Checked out the RockAuto parts website for my car and there’s loads of brands I’ve never heard of with some ridiculously cheap prices....that's not a good sign to me! However, on the other hand for example, the Brembo rotors (discs) and pads are very reasonably priced although I can get some of those at my excellent local motor factors for more or less the same price (over the counter or online).

Yep, there’s not a lot of top branded stuff for the F-Type - hence why I just linked the Brembo parts.

For other daily runabouts or hard to source parts it might be worth a check.

…not surprised to hear that you’ve also used this supplier cj10jeeper ;)

The link you posted shows 55 different 'Rotor & Brake Pad Kit' options for the F-Type. Only 5 of those are Brembo and I've never heard of the rest....

Real schoolday for me.
I've just learnt all these brand names which Rockauto list items for my year of F type - Fiamm, Mann, Bendix, AC Delco, Hella, Pagid, Brembo, Fram, Bosch & Valeo.
Best I stop learning today..

You obviously haven't seen the RockAuto link for the F-Type Rotor & Brake Pad Kit options that was posted earlier. It'll be half term for both of you soon
I rest my case!

There always has to be a first time to hear of things - and the good old US of A do make some excellent products - Porterfield pass anyone?

Anyways, I think my post has run its course now, so here beneath the sermon 😉

Please all feel free to create a new post for any other cud chewing and general chit-chat.
