Recommendations for servicing and maintenance in Nottinghamshire area

Anyone have any recommendations for dealer or specialist independent servicing and maintenance in the Nottinghamshire area? Stratstone Jaguar are the local dealer, but I have no experience of them to date…

Hello Cooker. Although I live in Nottingham I’ve used the Derby main dealer & two Derby independents to service/test my F-Type during seven years of ownership.

Purchased car from Derby main dealer so used them for service MOT under warranty period. Zero issues with them, in fact very positive. Due to age of car I sourced an independent relationship for my pride & joy.

First independent were MGA Derby. They were excellent. Immaculate premises, extremely thorough work including service gearbox, air con service etc. Didn’t return as only service & car has to be driven away for MOT.

Have used Elite & Performance Jags (Derby) for last few years. Excellent workmanship, easy parking. Dan the owner owns a beauty of an XKR-S & is a Jaguar enthusiast too. MOT onsite so I always have service/test done together (why would you not?).

The Nottingham independent you’ll hear about is JagTech on Little Tennis Street. Heard good things about them but I found the premises always jam packed. Customer cars half pavement parked on the narrow, busy, road with HGV’s & cars squeezing past. Didn’t fancy it.

I’m sure other will give their experience. I know a few owners, personally, who used E&PJ…

Hi DaddyDarren,

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience, much appreciated. I’m Nottingham based too but happy to travel for the best specialists - used to do the same for my TVR…

I have a little time until my next service, so will check out the Derby dealership and E&PJ - I’m keen to find the right people to look after the car long term.

Thanks again 👍

Quick update... had a good look at MGA, EPJ, and Stratstone - thanks again for the recommendations. Opted for Stratstone this time as costs were comparable and it maintained the Jaguar service history. No complaints, they did a good job and were very accomodating to all my requests. Will be keeping EPJ in mind for the next two (much more significant) services though...

Glad to hear of your positive experience. The East Midlands are well served for servicing/repair 👍

Just for future reference as you have got yourself sorted, I’ve used Nottingham Strastone, Derby Inchcape and Jagtech for both my F-Type and the now gone F-Pace. Not a fan of Strastone though mainly the sales team who are extremely arrogant, service centre was fine but the Inchape facilities are far nicer.
Out of warranty Jagtech are more than ok and at around £70/hour for labour a lot cheaper than main dealer. Mark there is really helpful even if you just drop in with an issue they will often have a quick look there and then. Had a couple of minor issues sorted and on my way.

I've used Jagtech in Nottm and found them to be very good so far. The parking is an issue for sure as it's a bit tight! Only downside though.

Previously used Inchcape Derby who were pretty good, but going to EPJ next week as it’s the big tenth service and they were £350 cheaper.
