Rear wheel offset advice

Hey clever folk...

I've got a 2017 R with standard 20inch wheels, being a 10.5J ET38 on the rear.

I'd like to stick Maelstrom's on my car, which are a SVR standard wheel with a 11J ET54 at the rear.

With the Maelstroms being "further in" if I stick a 20mm spacer on the rear will it be the equivalent to +4mm offset outwards compared to my original wheels?

How does it work with them being slightly wider? ie in terms of spacing.

Cheers

The US forum has a number of posts where people have fitted Maelstrom wheels, e.g.

Your wheel is circa 13mm wider and offset by an additional 16mm, so the inner rim is 3mm further in, therefore a 10mm spacer will take them 7mm further out than your existing rims.
I believe they are either flow cast or forged too, so may well be a little lighter than your existing rims despite being bigger - win win 😎

I had assumed the 13mm wider is + 6.5mm on each face from the centre. Making the front face circa 9.5mm recessed. Although on the pictures from the US it lookes more exaggerated.

I expect someone on here has them.
