Looks like o will be needing some.
Is part number T2R12793 correct?
Says it’s for the R performance brakes (380mm)
I’m assuming all 400S came with these brakes?
TIA
Russ

380mm is the High Performance and Super Performance front (as opposed to 355mm Performance).

Super Performance rear are 376mm I believe (as opposed to 325mm Performance and High Performance).

400 sports are the super/high performance.
380mm front and 376mm rear.

Am I correct in assuming the the 400S is 380mmF 376mmR?
And is part number T2R12793 correct for this set up?

Just look at them - the difference between front and rear sizes will be obvious if you don't have the 376mm ones.

The issue I’m having is the sellers are stating the rear pads whilst for the Super high performance set up is for 380mm discs.
I mentioned 376mm and they said only for rear 380mm pads!
Gave them my vin as well and they came back with incompatible??!

Sounds like 380’s might be used on the rear of other models 🤔
I’d buy from another seller, or at least get a cross-check against the F 376 rear part number.

That’s what I need the correct number for the 376mm pads
Rang Jag today but wouldn’t give me the part number; just that they would sell them to me!

I guess the questions is, are the pads the same for the 380 front and the 376 rear discs.

Only 4mm difference but…

a) A different disc thickness may have an impact on pad shape.

b) This is JLR, so expectations can be wrong 😂

Have a look at the Pagid Brakebook for the correct part numbers. Personally I’ve used Pagid pads and discs as they’re an OE supplier and are superb for normal use. I wouldn’t buy anything else as you don’t know its heritage (for the non-branded stuff) and brakes are somewhat important…
