Rear cross brace - Stupid question

Hi all,

This is probably a VERY stupid question….but I want to be sure of what to expect.

I am about to finally remove my rear cross braces to get shot blasted, etch primed and painted etc (Por-15)

I am not removing the subframe!…..but according to the workshop manual for subframe / x-brace removal the basic steps are:
Remove rear exhaust
THEN
Remove main xbrace (3 parts)
THEN
Position support stand under subframe etc
THEN
Undo 4xrear subframe bolts and drop subframe….blah blah blah

This would imply that the rear cross brace can definitely be removed without disturbing the two forward subframe bolts

From under the car these bolts go through the cross brace…….and look like they need to be removed before I can drop the x-brace itself…..the workshop steps however imply otherwise…..which would make sense hence the stupid nature of the question

IS THIS CORRECT ?

I just want to know what to expect when I start this job in a couple of weeks time…..
