Quad Exhaust

Hi guys I'm thinking of changing my v6s twin exhaust to a v8 quad exhaust. Has this been done before and will I need to replace the full rear bumper or just the rear diffuser. I was hoping to replace the back box only. Thanks in advance for any help and advice.
John.

yes its possible, just a rear diffuser change (bumper is ok)
would think you need to change some of the brackets and mounting points underneath though

Thanks for reply guys I can get hold of the quad rear box so will have to look into prices for rear diffuser/valance and mounting brackets.

I looked and actually had a back box to hand. Decided against in the end for a few reasons
It had to be a full bumper change as not able to split to older V6 bumper
Adapters were needed as v8 exhaust had a different bore
Minor on location brackets and active exhaust points
Concern about the gas volume and eventual sound. Ie pushing 3l volumes through a 5l engine designed system

All easily overcome but I opted to create my own custom rear for the V6 twin pipes

I think if you want to add two extra exhausts at the back you need to add two extra cylinders at the front

The US guy wouldn't have minded the extra cylinders, but didn't fancy the auto box - these 'Mercans love their stick shift. ;)
