Problem with the wings of the soft top

Hi Guys,

As explained in my presentation, I have solved already a lot of problems I faced with my beauty but there is one that I cannot find a solution on the various discussion. The problem I have is when I open my roof, the wings on both sides are staying up. Anybody faced the same problem ?

I don't know if the wings are linked to the same motor as the roof itself for which I have no problem. I have to confess that I am riding with the wings up for the moment when it is sunny. It's just totally unesthetic and also the day I will sell the car, I am thinking about it, it will be problematic.

Many thanks for your feedback,

Julien

Hi Julien

Welcome the the forum, I haven't had this problem but I suspect the roof operation needs a reset like you have to do with windows once the battery has been disconnected which can be done by holding the window switches in a certain procedure, not sure if this can be done with the roof or if it will need to be reset via dealer software. Maybe search on google to see if theirs any posts about resting the convertible roof operation.

Just a note are you continuing to hold the down button after the roof has gone fully down? as theirs a delay between the roof going fully down then the flaps closing I discovered this when I first got mine.

I had this when I first bought my previous F-Type, it wasn't stuck open in that position, more just 20% open. Dealer reset resolved it.
