Preventing water ingress to injectors

Ive just bought a 2013 v6, its very low mileage ,one owner and been garaged all its life. Im hoping the dreaded corroded injectors hasn't occurred due to how its been stored.
What is my best way of preventing it happening, is there a modification available?

There should be some threads about that on here. The easiest thing is to add some insulation to the engine cover which then diverts any water that gets in through the vents. And keep it garaged if you can.

See https://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=4921&start=20
particularly the pictures of the engine cover on p3 & p7 of the thread.

At that age any water ingress prevention will be wasting your time unless you know the injectors are not stuck.

The first action should be to get a trusted independent to remove the injectors - maybe ultrasonically clean them - and refit them with a little suitable product on the threads / head contact points to prevent the reaction between the two metals.
