Hi all,
I was having a clean up of my rear wheels last week, so removed them to give a thorough cleanup and lube the studs etc….
I decided to try out the parking brake maintenance mode, so I know what to expect when I change my rear pads in a few months…..
So I followed the instructions, I could hear the EPB motor whirring, then the maintenance mode message came up successfully….great so far
But the rear wheels would not freewheel?
However, the vehicle was still in “park”….I expect that is why the wheels won’t spin….so vehicle needs to be in neutral
Looking at the downloaded instructions…..it clearly says to have ignition off and either in “park” or “neutral”….so it would make sense for the transmission to be in “neutral” if I want free wheeling rear wheels to perform any maintenance!

I just tried and cannot seem to ove the vehicle into neutral when ignition is OFF
Have I missed something?
