Don't suppose anyone has a spare p zero 255 35 20 front tyre. Mines damaged and want to match an existing one that has plenty of life left on it,

Cheers
LJ

I managed to do that many years ago after some pothole damage, so hopefully you'll have as much good luck as I did!

If v8esp doesn’t want due to logistics, I would be interested to replace a front I’ve just taken a chunk out of. If you can advise make of tyre, tread and how much you want that’d be great. Ta.

Its a pirelli with 5-6mm, £75 ovno

I wouldn't jump to use them - Tyre matching to cars is very much hit and miss.
The PS4S's were stumbled upon after a few brave folk took the plunge.

Just because the number increments by one doesn'tean a tyre performs better... Only after the first few brave folk have taken the plunge again and fitted them all round and can compare them to the 4's will we be able to gauge whether they suit the F type or no.

I can't seem to wear my PS4S's down, they are super robust and grippy, which is a contradiction in itself I know.

You may or may not be aware of the fact that certainly Mich if not others in the past two or three years have cut back on the oils used in the manufacture of the rubber.
The knock on effect is that perishing around the shoulder and sidewalls before the tyre tread is worn (normal 10k per year Ave.) is accelerated...and that's not something that came from the net!

Interesting comment on the reduction of oils. Seems to be a general trend across many industries. Oil water-based paints, etc. All good for the planet.

Fully agree on the tyres and need for the few brave to test in many conditions before more general adoption. I recall the original Z4 was fitted with terrible run flat Bridgestone. Suspension was not right or tuned for them, they tramlined and were really harsh. Falkens, of all tyres, in non-run flat (can't recall the exact version) emerged as the defacto go to tyre after a couple of years and still remains so

I’ll hedge my bets that you’ll change your mind after the PS5S is released and you hear user reports on them!

As I already have the Michelin PS5 on the fronts, I can tell you that they are an improvement over the PS4 (I will be updating my topic ‘Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres fitted last week’ https://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=6288 once I conduct one further test on them) and they also look much smarter with their full-ring velvet sidewalls.....It’s very likely that the PS5S will follow suit.

The Michelin PS4S tyres I have on the rears grip well and they are hard wearing, although like the PS4 tyres I originally had on the fronts, they are perishing on the shoulder i.e cracking.

With regards to your last paragraph, Michelin have actually stated that the PS5 has increased longevity by 15% compared to the PS4, so nothing to worry about there!

Taken from the Michelin website FAQ's https://www.michelin.co.uk/auto/tyres/michelin-pilot-sport-5 (also see the 'Why this tyre' section).....

Question: What is the difference between MICHELIN Pilot Sport5 and MICHELIN Pilot Sport4?

Answer: Compared to MICHELIN Pilot Sport4 multi-awarded in the press tests since its launch, MICHELIN Pilot Sport5 keeps the spirited driving soul of its predecessor with a longevity increased by 15%, with full-ring velvet sidewalls to deliver next-level aesthetic.

Longevity - Thanks to MICHELIN MaxTouch Construction Technology, which evenly distributes forces of acceleration, braking and cornering, offering a longer tread life.

Precision steering - Thanks to MICHELIN Dynamic Response Technology, which optimizes transmission responsiveness of steering instructions to the road, delivering excellent reactivity and driving precision.

Wet and dry braking - Thanks to MICHELIN Dual Sport Tread Design Technology, which has an internal side with large longitudinal grooves that flush the water away for enhanced wet road traction, and an external side with rigid blocks for better grip on dry roads.

The acid test will be when folk have changed to 5's all round and some time has passed to gauge.

Copy and paste all you want... Not convinced. 😉
Personally I don't believe a word I read from large corps on the Internet...smoke, mirrors and making money is their game, not our interests!

I’ve already tested the PS5 and they win hands down over the PS4!.....This is a good omen for the PS5S.

Also, Michelin have provided the information on the PS5 based on their own thorough tests.

Here’s their ‘Pilot Sport 5 tyre presentation’ video....https://youtu.be/krmrOEsDehU

Looks like it’s just going to be a matter of time before you’re convinced 😉

Anyway, back on topic now....'P zero 255 35 20 wanted'.
