hello .. how do you find the countryman .... wife has been looking at those, we had a 48 hour test drive (cooper S 2.0 AWD) and it was fine .. the only trouble was add a few extras and the mini ends up really expensive .. EPACE / Evoque and Discovery S territory

Hi Kaspa, It's my wife's 3rd countryman and her 2nd AWD .This one is the John Cooper Works version and really flies like a proper sports car with all the associated pops and bangs!
I have to admit it was very expensive for a mini but it is extremely well speced and surpasses the F type in many ways especially in the creature comforts and cabin tech department. You can even charge a compatible phone by laying in a special cradle wirelessly. We took it up to Inverness from Lincoln a couple of weeks ago and it performed beautifully in all weather conditions including very heavy snow. We love it and have yet to see another on the road

I swapped my JCW Countryman for the F-type. Got a load of grief off the other half for it!!!

Not surprised Bulldog, my wife doesn't quite 'get' the Ftype in the same way that I do either.
