One more sleep...handover tips?

Got the call today that my car is ready to pick up tomorrow. It's not new but is hopefully everything I wanted spec wise. It's just over a year old so not new new. Even though they tried I'm not doing to take out the GAP/alloy/tyre insurance - I can get GAP far cheaper than £890!<div>Is there anything to watch out for/make sure is sorted when I get the keys. In control secure/apps/plate on retention/tax/warranty are on my list. Anything else?</div><div><br></div><div>Pictures in due course!</div>

Have a very good look at everything. Some dealers PDI can be poor, others are excellent.<div><br></div><div>Don't rush to drive away (tempting) before accepting the car.</div><div><br></div><div>Otherwise - very exciting - can't beat a new car day :)<br><div><br></div></div>

Congratulations! Agree on the above. Ours (approved used) had some trim issues, needed a bit of a clean inside and a few other minor bits. It also had terrible paint swirls but we didn't spot those till later :P We had the issues logged and then took it away for a week and gave it back to them later :) <div> </div><div> </div>

That looks the business with the design pack, very nice indeed.<br><br>Your garage doors look similar to mine. Two and a half inches clearance either side of my coupe was a bit to nerve wracking for me (actually it was a 2 person job to complete the manoevre, and my 'runway marshall' started to refuse to help/be responsible). So I replaced the standard doors with frameless sectional ones, which look the same but give a further 3 inches each side. It's easy peasy to reverse the car in using just the mirrors now.<br>

thanks - sounds like the same doors; I think the clearance is about 2 in either side of the mirrors. Not that I have been brave enough to try yet. The Fiesta goes in easy! Oddly I don't find the parking sensors helpful with this kind of manoeuvre - too much distracting beeping. Think my missus will only get involved if I agree to some kind of disclaimer!

I have a tight garage too and reverse mine in each time.<div><br></div><div>The parking sensors front and back beep too much, but what you can do is use the diagram on the screen as it does tell you which side is closer and you can adjust accordingly.</div><div><br></div><div>As long as you go in straight(ish) then small adjustments help. I have a rule of thumb which is if your not sure, move it back out and try again.</div><div><br></div><div>Sweet looking car sir.</div>
