Not starting and other problems

Hoping someone might be able to help with this.

I have a friend who has a 2017 3.0 litre. He hit a pothole with the front left which did a fair bit of damage:
Broken front bumper
Left side skirt
left front wing
Bonnet airbags set off
Broken wheel
Broken control arm which allowed the wheel to strike the ABS pump breaking that

He works away a lot so I have been helping fix it. Most of this was just parts swaps, however, the ABS is not playing ball, and all research to date has failed to generate a result.

The old pump had been hit by the wheel, this dented the pump housing and snapped the circuit board open. Pump part number is GX53-14F447-AG. This also blew the fuse to the ABS Pump.

A second-hand unit was sourced and fitted. The car started once and now will not. The steering wheel lock will not release anymore.

We bought a copy of SDD and scanned the car attached, however, the ABS module is not communicating. I have checked every fuse on the car and the wires to the ABS pump have power.

The ideal would be a Jaguar specialist but we are over 2 hours away from the nearest.

My current thoughts on fault are:
1. Replacement ABS pump was faulty, although we now have another which is just the same
2. Fault on CAN? Not really sure how to test
3. Copy SDD not capable of working on this car? I know 2017 is kind of a cut off
4. Other fault unrelated?

Any thought, proposals would be appreciated. Petrol and a match have been getting a tempting option.

SDD won’t work and you would need Pathfinder…which has ceased to be as the servers have been switched off, so you now need Topix Online to do anything

Given the extent of the damage and the fact that the ABS pump has been damaged, surely this would be an insurance job?
