No climate menu

On my 2018 Ftype I don't have a climate option on the infotainment system. How do I adjust the setting, for example where the fans are blowing air?

I have uploaded some screen shots of the menus I have.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Mick Jagger

Thanks for the reply. I had a look under the settings menu and there is a climate settings option however it doesn't let you direct the air where you want it (such as at your feet). It just gives you the options for how strong it is by default.

According to the manual, you should be able to swipe right and choose the Additional Settings menu, then Climate which will give you the options to direct airflow manually. I'm wondering if someone has personalised the screen you are using a dropped some icons.

It's the one thing that is completely daft - on every other car I've owned I could select screen/passenger/footwell airflows from direct controls, which made sense because I would want to change them quite often. Now they are buried in an 'advanced' settings menu it's more like change it for summer/winter only.

I wish I could even find it buried in a menu. I have been through ever menu option 😩

Has someone upgraded the head unit to the later 10.2” as a retrofit to replace the standard 8” unit as you can lose the climate controls when that’s done?

I've never seen that bluetooth icon on the bottom bar before. I wonder if it's an upgrade or someone has diddled with the software. The other thing making me think that is that it's also missing divider bars between the icons for dynamic/nav and bluetooth/settings.

The 'main 3' of nav/phone/media are sitting one slot left of where they should be I think.

The OP mentions that it's a 2018 car... as far as I know most if not all MY18 cars came with the 8" screen so this was my thought too. This is apparently the one downside of installing the OEM 10" screen in a car that came with the 8" screen and physical buttons - you lose the climate control settings.

I'm not sure that most came with the 8" screen - I don't know when the change occurred, but I'd guess at least half of the MY18s had the 10" screen, or Jaguar wouldn't have bothered to offer the CP/AA update for them.

Ok so I've just had a quick look at my car. Swipe in the opposite direction of the other menus, until you get to a screen called MyHome (not Home which is the main screen). Then press and hold anywhere on the screen and you should see lots of boxes with a + symbol. Press one them and you should get some sub menus to choose the available features.

That's for the OEM fitment and it's all in the manual, but admittedly it's a bit vague.

Thanks for the suggestion mickjagger. I have looked at the MyHome screen and can use the + symbols to add features. Just unfortunately none are to do with the climate control.

It should be listed under the ' Touchscreen Features Menu' , so maybe someone has upgraded the screen and lost the feature, as Kev mentioned above.

Thanks for everyone's help. I'm starting to think it maybe an OEM screen fitted by LR retros. According to their site my car is the right age, has the right VIN number and the photos of the icons on the screen look the same as mine. According g to their website you loose the ability to control the climate settings but gain android auto.
