New rear tyres

the time has come to replace both rears. There seem to be some good deals on Bridgestone Potenza Sport, anyone running these or have run them and got feedback?

Or any recommendations, size is 295/30 R20 101Y.

thanks

Hi. I will be fitting Conti 7 or Michelin PS4S to mine when the P Zeros need replacing. Used PS4S before and they are excellent, Contis are supposed to be just as good but wear a little faster (cheaper too)

Just put PS4S on at 10k miles and what a difference, especially when cold and wet. No need for AWD!

At the top end, the tyres are much of a muchness and some of it will come down to personal preference on how the tyre behaves for you.

Style of course means not just HOW you drive the car but WHERE you drive it. You could easily put 20,000 miles on a set of rears if all you do is chugg up and down motorways. I work on the basis that anything above 6-8k on a set of rears is 'bonus territory' as the majority of my driving is twisty country roads driven 'enthusiastically' and I'm happy with that.

The F-Type is my fourth Jaaaag and I've never got more than 10,000 miles out of the rears on any of them.

Mrs W has Bridgestone Potenza Sport’s on her Audi S4 Quattro, they are excellent on that car, so I’m sure they’ll be good on an F-Type.

I have Pirelli P-Zero’s on my F-Type at the moment, since the car was new to me just over a year ago. As soon as the rears need replacing (probably by the end of this summer), I will replace all four with Michellin PS4S’s, and the part worn front P-Zero’s will go on eBay.

All premium tyres are good of course, but I have experienced the difference with Michelin tyres on my Audi S3 (my previous car before the F-Type) - really noticeably better.
