New purchase - Query on Job Card

Morning,
Looking at a F Type, FJSH looks good except on the last one Dec 24 I note the Tensioner Drive has been replaced, the issue I have is what is underneath this.
The net total figure of £2845.82, have asked the Jaguar dealer if this can be explained but they have not come back to me as yet. The reg in question is HD16GMY.

Hoping you great people can show some light on this.....Looking to purchase this Friday.

Thanks

More than likely a failed or noisy tensioner which does happen especially if moisture gets into the bearings. What else was on the invoice to make up the amount?

Thanks for replying, yeah no idea what else I assume looking at the invoice there should be a page above perhaps, didn't realize that
As I say have asked the dealer for an explanation ...

Thanks

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows any details on this V6 S F type, is with Sytner Bristol.

In previous Post 'New Purchase-Query on Job Card' looks like some hefty work carried out, i think there maybe a page missing which i have queried with the dealer.

Thanks

If you can get the VIN number you can check the full service history at osh.jaguar.com which might give you some insight into the work carried out during that service.

Thanks CSGMART, have done that which raised some questions as nothing about Spark plugs etc, fortunately one of the guys at Sytner emailed me all the job cards which was brilliant but also showed up the issue i have as only page 2 for the last service was enclosed, trying to get Page 1 now. (above link shows page 2) Seems a hefty bill and was curious what it was, trying to find out,

Apologies have raised 2 Posts as couldn't amend the first post.

That's a repair not a service.
Random guess, supercharger nose and associated belts and pulleys.....when you find out do let us know!

Yes i thought if the tensioner was on page 2 of the invoice then page 1 (which i haven't seen) would include all mechanics etc in that area. I am still waiting to hear back from them.

From a purchase pov i guess its pretty good news that all has been replaced ? i guess what still niggles me or should i just accept it and go for it as thats the only thing bugging me....heeeeeelp

So have heard back from the Jaguar dealer and the high price on the invoice (Page 1 which was not provided) was a new back box as the valves were sticking.
So that clears that up.

Thanks all
