Welcome to the Forum!<div><br></div><div>I too have gone with the base V6 with options (my choice was a specced up V6 or a basic V6S). Was a little concerned when Jaguar would only give journalists and reviewers the R or the S to drive, but fortunately it seems like there was nothing to worry about: http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/jaguar/f-type-coupe/first-drives/jaguar-f-type-coupe-v6-uk-first-drive-review</div><div><br></div><div>Mine should be here in the 2 weeks or so, fingers crossed. Good luck with the wait, it only gets worse!!</div>

Hi Silver,<div>Welcome to the forum !</div><div>Nice specification, the Tornado Wheels look awesome ! I almost went for them, but changed my mind last minute for the cyclone's.</div><div><br></div><div>You are going to love it !!</div>

Hi Selborne,
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Eagerly waiting for the car and thanks for your comments, I even looked at the Gyrodyne Silver which are standard on the "R", the cost was £1824 for a set of 4 whitout the tyres, this quote was from Jag parts department, the other issue i have is that in dark saphire, jag will not put the side sills, its a dealer option, i think it looks a lot better with sills, lets see when the car arrives </DIV>

Hi Silver,<div><br></div><div>I also wanted the side sills and I was told the same, dealer option, I was quoted £2600 by the dealer to do it, but I was worried that you would have some monkey pulling the car to pieces and never really putting it back together the way the factory would, so I did not go forward with it. I did write to Jaguar and ask why this was not available as a factory fit option, as of course it is easy to do, they said that at this stage they wanted to keep this for the V8's only.</div><div><br></div><div>If you want genuine Jaguar wheels, but do not to pay dealer prices try Jag-Land-UK.com, I purchased a set of genuine 20" wheels for my wife's Range Rover Evoque for £620 inc VAT, that was £1100 cheaper than the dealer !! They came boxed in the original OEM packaging and were perfect !! might be worth a shot, that way you could order your car with the cheapest wheel option which you can keep for winter tyres !!</div><div><br></div><div>Hope this is of help</div><div>Jamie</div>

Quick update, I spoke to Jag-Land-UK.com today and they have a full stock of all the wheels for the F Type, however they cannot sell them until late July, due to some Licencing agreement with JLR, but he said that the Tornado would be no problem.<div><br></div><div>I spoke to Ashley, but you can call him or James on 07907137768 and they will sort it for you.</div><div><br></div><div>Jamie</div>

Hi Guys<div><br></div><div>Strangely enough I too asked about the sills (white Coupe) and was told that they came as part of the design pack which was a dealer fit option. I was told the sills couldn't be ordered separately. Strange. On brighter news, I have just been informed by Pete@Jaguar that my car is at the dealership! Just waiting for the call to confirm.... I'm literally shaking with excitement!</div>

It has indeed arrived! Unfortunately as they weren't expecting it it hasn't been booked in for a pre-delivery inspection, but fingers crossed should be able to collect next Wednesday! God help my friends and family until then!

Hi All,
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>If anybody is interested herewith the part numbers for the sills but be aware of the workmanship from the dealer</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Left - T2R 10392</DIV>
<DIV>Right - T2R 10391</DIV>
<DIV>Cost £141.00 each plus vat, this costs is for parts only, i am not sure what finish they come in, could be matt black or primed for respray </DIV>

Calm down, calm down <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" align="middle" /> <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" align="middle" /> <br /><br />Do not get the design pack extended sills mixed up with the V8 sills they are different, they are painted, and the black finish is what makes the look cool.<br /><br />Let's see some pictures when you collect it !<edited><editID>Selborne</editID><editDate>2014-05-30 17:38:44</editDate></edited>

I agree with the sills issue. I hurled a V8R around the Cotswold for half a day & fell in love with it as it was in Polaris white, with gloss black sills (+ the other parts of the Design Pack also in the same colour) & silver Girodynes. Trouble was, I couldn't stretch to a V8 so opted for a V6S, but was told rather too firmly by the dealer that there was no way I could get the black sills even as a separate parts order after having purchased the car (wonder what the story would be if I was a bodyshop trying to get bits for a car which had been accident damaged?). What a load of old b*ll*x! Not to be deterred, I ordered the Design/Black pack, which would obviously have sills in white. As I run a business doing (among other things) vehicle graphics, wraps & colour changes, it'll be quite easy for me to apply black or any other coloured film to the relevant bits anyway. Despite the fact that my car is to be white, it will probably spend part of its life wrapped in matt black, possibly with the addition of a suitably garish bright green/orange/yellow (but not pink) stripe or other detail on it somewhere. I will try to obtain an extra set of wheels -either Girodine or Blades from EBay or similar, which will hopefully complement the car's new look. Bit like having a wardrobe change really!<br /><br />Fear not - I will be brave enough to post a few pictures of the results on the site & will be more than happy to receive any comments or opinions, good or bad!

I quite like the idea of gloss black skirts on my car, I may look at getting them fitted at some point.I got my Blades from eBay, it worked out cheaper than paying the upgrade price, and I have a set of un-used 19" alloys as spares.

<div><br></div><div>Lofty, are you Blades aftermarket or genuine OEM?</div>

Jag-Land-uk.com have hundreds of sets of OEM jag wheels available, they have an eBay shop but it is cheaper to go direct, they have a Web site or you can call them, James or Ashley are the contacts,

Hi Silver $ and welcome to the forums.<div><br></div><div>Nice spec on your F-Type. I would have gone for the interior black pack, but myself and the other half found the 'thickness' of the FB Steering wheel too much...Jag won't let you have the pack and keep the round wheel!?</div><div><br></div><div>Anyway, I concur with the BMW thoughts. If you take a look at my thread (F-Type Dorset wannabe) a few below this one, there is a link to pretty much every other manufacturer that I tried with my thoughts...I wonder if you found the same with the BMW if you test drove?</div><div><br></div><div>When it comes to wheel, I found the following interesting. There are a few new models missing:<br><div><br></div><div>http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID300360
</div></div><div><br></div><div>When I eventually get my FT, I may ditch the cyclones for some Tamanas in Black!</div><div><br></div><div>Tel</div>

Hi Tel<br />I'm interested in your reference to fitting Tamanas in place of Cyclones. The Tamanas are from XK/R cars but I was unaware that they would be compatible with the F-Type. Do you know for sure that they are? If so, that would make my idea of fitting Vulcans (also from the XKR) to my F Type a possibility, although to date, I've not been able to get confirmation that this can be done. If so, I'd be a real happy boy!
