Been a long time lurker on the site but thought I'd say a quick hello!<div><br></div><div>Currently awaiting delivery on my V6 Convertible - Glacier White with Brogue interior.</div><div><br></div><div>Got an email last week saying it was in build and am seriously excited now. Was wondering how long you guys had to wait for delivery after being told it's in build?</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>

Hi Spennymann & welcome to the forum. My F-Type arrived at the dealers three weeks after it was built. When the order is placed both the build date and expected delivery to dealer date are quoted on the order system so, your dealer should be able to give you a pretty accurate date for handover. The factory does have its annual holiday about now but I don't think that will affect delivery of vehicles that have already been built, provided they have successfully passed through final inspection.<br /><br />Enjoy your new car - they are fabulous machines!<br /><br />Regards.<br /><br /><br />Scoobydoo<edited><editID>scoobydoo</editID><editDate>2015-08-04 12:34:04</editDate></edited>

Hi Spencer, and welcome to the FTOC!<div><br></div><div>I would be interested to see what the Brogue interior looks like, I haven't seen another yet.</div><div><br></div><div>JLR delivery times are worked out using the 'How long is a piece of string' method, and vary widely!</div><div><br></div><div>Some seem to take a month, some substantially longer. Just keep on the heels of your dealer for an update every week or so.</div><div><br></div><div>The wait, as most of us know to any petrol-head is like torture, however it's a good time to 'gen' up on the finer details of the F-Type.</div>

<p>Welcome!</p><div>Sounds like a great car you've got coming there, like Tel, I am very interested in seeing the Brogue interior.</div>

Hello!<div><br></div><div>Sorry it has been a while. Been having too much fun in the car!</div><div>Anyway, here she is below...</div><div><br></div><div><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/545/Jag.jpg" height="225" width="300" border="0" /><br></div><div><br></div><div><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/545/Photo_on_25-07-2014_at_19.51.jpg" height="225" width="300" border="0" /><br></div><div><br></div><div>White with Brogue combo didn't even cross my mind until the night before ordering as during one of my many F type searches on YouTube I discovered this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FropkxfSHM</div><div><br></div><div>Already got a ticket for "excessive acceleration". Didn't exceed the speed limit and wasn't driving without due care at all. In fact I didn't even know this existed. Oh well, think the police officer might have been jealous (I'm 21). Off on my course in November!</div><div><br></div><div>Cannot see myself coming out of giggly little girl mode anytime soon. Fantastic machines.</div>

Crikey - Excessive Acceleration is a new one on me. Better put a brick under the pedal <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Ad me to the list of people who has never heard of excessive acceleration.<br /><br />Wouldn't mind an official explanation of that! Surely it's got to be subjective. <br />

Surely they haven't come up with an audible exhaust detector commissioned by the noise abatement society, lol

How can you prove and/or define 'Excessive acceleration'? <div><br><div>Calibrated eyesight ;-)<div><br></div><div>No Traffic offence has been committed; Dangerous driving, Driving without DCA etc.</div><div>It's a new one on me, and one that I would seriously contest, as it sounds like another money spinner!</div></div></div><div><br></div>

<div><br></div><div>Now's there a ticket I'd love to see, any chance you still have it and can post a pic of it?</div><div><br></div><div>I was so intrigued by it, I've even tried to find it in the Road Traffic Offenders Act, but can't see anything similar (http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1988/53/schedule/3<span style="line-height: 1.4;">).</span></div><div><span style="line-height: 1.4;"><br></span></div><div><span style="line-height: 1.4;">I'm mostly intrigued as I could very easily fall victim to that myself!!</span></div>
