I think I need to point out now I have an XF with the upgraded Meridien system which is excellent which is why I'm disappointed. I have found the sound distorts at low levels with the bass, treble and sub all at factory levels. The speakers behind the seats hardly make a noise when I move the location to the rear and overall the system sounds far cheaper than the one in the XF. Im starting to wonder if mine is faulty and would like to hear from other owners on their experiences. Thanks </span>

Sorry to hear that you are disappointed scooby. I previously had an XF with the B&W system in and thought it was the bees knees.<br /><br />I can't help you with your dilemma as my coupe has the basic system. To be honest it's not too bad as a low end system. I am thinking about future upgrades but like you, noticed that the empty rear speakers grills are flush up to the back of the seats. I presumed these would be next to useless if I added extra speakers in there.<br /><br />If I'd spent £1750 on a system, I wouldn't be too happy if these were the only rear speakers I had.

Hi Guys,<div>There are a large number of people who have had problems with the 330w Meridian system speakers distorting, it would seem that Jaguars move from B& to Meridian was clearly an economic one, as I also had the B&W system in my XF and it was by far the best system I have ever had in a car. I have the 330w Meridian system in my car and although I am happy with it and it does not distort, for the money it is certainly not good value.</div><div> </div><div>For reference my wife has the 770w Meridian system in her Evoque and althought it produces very nice sound, it really is not worth the additional cost.</div><div> </div><div>If I were you Scooby, put your foot down with the dealer, £1750 extra for something that does not perform is not reasonable !</div><div> </div><div>Best of Luck,</div><div> </div><div>Jamie</div>

Yep, I've a problem with mine.<br />I have the mid range upgrade, it was an £850 option I think ,<br />The rear speakers sound like they have blown, My local dealer has confirmed this and the car is going to be booked in for a warranty claim next week, My car is two weeks old <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley24.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> <br />

I suppose it's not rocket science but if I put my home hi-fi speakers flush to the back of my sofa, it isn't going to sound good.
