Lost Car!

I have been waiting for my V6S Coupe since February. My dealer was informed by Jaguar UK that it was ready for delivery some 3 weeks ago. It never arrived and since then, every week the delivery date has been put back with absolutely no reason being given. For the last week a Jaguar executive from head office has been directly involved and has been trying to locate my car and find the reason for its delay.<div>Guess what...he has no idea where it is! Jaguar UK have literally lost my car. </div><div>My dealer has tried to move heaven and earth to find out information and now feel completely powerless.</div><div>"We are Speechless"</div><div>It took Jaguar nearly 3 days to even respond to my Email complaint and since then have contacted me every day with an update....but it has not become any clearer as to where my car is. I simply cannot believe this situation and even the Jaguar Executive told me on Friday that "i can no longer defend this situation".</div><div>As this is my first foray into the world of Jaguar (always been BMW), to say it has left a sour taste in my mouth is an understatement. I really believe that unless Jaguar UK perform a miracle on Tuesday my Jaguar Experience will finish before it even began. My dealer has been exceptional, the have even now provided me with a brand new XKR to use until this is resolved, but i really am not at all sure i want to give 70k of my money to Jaguar! So far Jaguar UK have been worryingly poor....and thats me being polite.</div><div>My gut feeling is to quit the brand, grab my deposit back and run whilst i still can.</div><div>The F Type is beautiful and literally the car of my dreams but this situation is pathetically unbelievable.</div><div>Has anyone else had any experiences like this? What would you do?</div><div><br></div>

I suppose things happen, but very strange.<br /><br />I would demand a better specced car in compensation and try and use the situation to your advantage. If they won't then cancel.<br /><br />The ftype is brilliant and could be worth pushing for.<br /><br />Good luck to you, very unusual situation!

Ian - You are not alone.<div>I can empathise with you, and sorry that you are having a similar experience with JLR.<div>We are also first time to this brand, and have been left feeling utterly let down and disappointed.<div><br></div><div>Our first F-Type turned up on time, but the overall paint and body condition/finish was so bad that we rejected the car.</div><div><br></div></div><div>After many months of debate with JLR, they agreed to build us a new V8R. </div><div>To our utter amazement, many of the defects are still present in our new car, proving that their Q and A is poor beyond belief. It's in for the second week of attention with the bodyshop!</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>To sum up;</div><div>Although the F is a great car to drive, it is let down form extremely poor workmanship, quality and non existent customer care - You may find a different brand a better a choice.</div></div>

Well they may have lost it for 4 weeks....but it<span style="line-height: 1.4;"> was finally found...delivered in perfect and today it WAS COLLECTED!. Happy days....today i took delivery of my long awaited Sliver/Black pack V6S coupe!!</span><div><span style="line-height: 1.4;">The saga is over...now to enjoy!</span></div>

Hi guys<div>Yeh will get some pics up .Apparently it had been randomly selected as part of the quality control checks but seemed to have then got "left behind" and forgotten. Anyway, had huge apologies and compensation from Jag in the end as well as my car being delivered to the dealer on its own, covered head to toe in PRIORITY VEHICLE stickers.Alls well thats ends well i guess.Have to say apart from them "losing it" Jag customer services really did pull out all the stops in the end and really went out of there way to put things right.</div>
