Car 1 - Sold by a non jaguar dealership

2017 Model - Ultra Blue
12,000 Miles, Full Jaguar Service History
4 Previous Owners (this concerns me slightly)
£74,000.

Car 2 - Sold by Jaguar Dealership.

2018 Model - 'SVO Blue
25,000 Miles, Full Jaguar Service History
2 Previous Owners
£80,000.

Both cars have been checked and there are no outstanding issues. Both also look great, are almost identical spec so I would be happy with either in terms of that. The only question is whether Car 2 sold by Jaguar is worth the extra £6k for being 1 year newer, having 2 previous owners instead of 4 (though it has 2x the millage) and it comes with a 12 month waranty from Jaguar. By contrast Car 1 comes with a 3rd party waranty.

What do you think?

Jaguars can cope with mileage so I wouldn't be put off by a 9,000 mile a year car that's been looked after. Like you, the 4 owners would give me pause for thought. SVO Blue must be a cool colour, though! I'd look at both and decide on condition and appeal, assuming the extra £6 isn't a deal breakr for you. Oh, and the 2018 may have a more up to date infotainment system (10" screen with no physical buttons?) that may support Android Auto and Carplay.

£6k isn't much of a premium for a year newer. Two owners is a better proposition than four.

Look at the service history to see where/when they were carried out. Some OE/OV reg cars were JLR vehicles, so sometimes this gives an indication of an ex press car.

SimpleR can do a search for you with all sorts of useful info if required.

Is the 2018 car in Harwoods? It's velocity blue the same as mine. I'll get the VIN off the windscreen and have a look at it if you want.

If you have the regs I can lookup the VIN's from Jaguar system and have a quick search.

For public info, list it here.
If you want it private then PM me.

Hi simpleR, I just PMd you, did you get it? I can't tell from the PM system if it came through or not.

I think the PM goes into your Outbox when you send it and moves to your Sent Messages box when the recipient reads it.

Well I definitely hit Send but it seems to have just vanished, its not in the sent or outbox 😂. But fingers crossed it went though

Its still a Jag infotainment at the end of the day, they are all pretty bad 😂. I think the 4 owners is giving pause the most, something really odd about how quickly that has changed hands. Anyway, we will see.

It was that one but I think its been sold, so I may end up with the other one after all or 1 of 2 BRG models I've seen elsewhere

The BRG one with 27000 miles was for sale in Harwoods for ages, before moving on in the trade It was registered in March 2019 missed the first service altogether and wasn't serviced at all until it was 19 months old, then with 23,000 on the clock. That service was done at the BCA fleet prep centre near Bruntingthorpe.

A £110k+ car when new, missing it's first £400 service altogether! Little wonder that one's been hanging around.

There was a BRG SVR being used as a track experience tool at Thruxton in Feb 2020. No number plates on it though.
