Saw this article by Autocar today and wondered if any one here had experienced any delays with getting new parts?

Got a friend with an evoque that's been at the dealer for 4 weeks cos they're waiting for parts.

JLR decision to move from 19 parts warehouses to one Super Hub where they will supply their entire world distribution network with parts is a massive change. Along with outsourcing the entire contract to Unipart, integrating all of their systems and the requirement to recruit around 1000 people. Not a job for the faint hearted, bit like Lotus developing and building a new car with ramped up volumes and a complete new workforce. Just “perfect storms”. Hopefully they will get on top of it (and they will) soon.

Took mine in for a quick warranty job.
While chatting to the lady behind the desk, she said I was lucky that they have the part and they were buying parts off ebay to keep customers on the road!

Yep. I recently had to wait 5 weeks for a new door skin for my F-Type which can't be normal. The first few weeks JLR couldn't even estimate when it would be delivered although it surely was just an off the shelf part.

I have an IPace as daily drive, thankfully it’s reliable, those that do have issues face several weeks even to get it into the workshop, parts can be several months.

A warranty that provides a courtesy car is highly advisable.
