JLR hacked and offline

The Telegraph reports today that JLR has been hacked and have taken all their systems down.
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2025/09/04/more-than-a-million-drivers-unable-to-get-repairs-jlr-hack/

So no online parts catalogue or ordering or anything that needs to access their servers.
When the same hackers hit Marks & Spencer earlier this year it took them months to recover.

Just been on there site and all working ok.

The systems were hacked on September 1. Recovery efforts are likely well underway or completed by now.

It must be a well know rival who've got in and taken the rebranded Jaguar design drawings to incorporate in the new TT ;)

Remarkable similarities with that new TT. Surely not a coincidence, or will all new cars look like that in 2026??? Or just all the concept cars?
Some unkind people have likened the new TT grill to a certain historical gentleman's moustache. Harsh.

It's the same design lead who has moved to Audi from JLR. Personally I think it looks great and reportedly is going to make production largely as is. Also has the effect of making the Jaguar design look less extreme and perhaps means when it arrives, it will actually sell?

VAG has some connection with that historial gentleman, apparently.

JLR is still being impacted by this hack.

You have to admire his cheek for reusing that design and just shrinking it to TT proportions. I can imagine that executives in both companies spat their coffee out when they saw what he'd done.

Well, Ian Callum did take his DB7 design to Jaguar when he designed the F-Type. He did make a lot of improvements, of course. ;)
