Anyone else noticed that the Jaguar logo on the front calipers fades away with time? Mine are barely legible now (64 plated 2015 model) Sports brakes, red calipers.
I’ve never used wheel cleaning sprays just normal water and Autoglym shampoo.
I have the Jaguar High Performance braking system with red calipers and I only clean them with a small plastic handled soft bristle brush and water mixed with Autoglym Rapid Aqua Wax. The Jaguar decals were faded on mine which is due to the heat that the front calipers take upon braking.
I replaced them with high temperature resistant brake caliper decals a couple of years ago (see pic) which did not require any extra lacquer coating.....they’re still perfect. The original colour of the decals is silver and the size is 65mm so I’ve kept them the same.
I previously wrote about it here https://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=47729#p47729 which also shows where I ordered them from.

It's pretty impressive after c8 years you have any of the decal left on the caliper given the hostile environment they live in alongside the endless heating and cooling cycles.
I have noticed the Jaguar writing on one front caliper has faded whereas the other looks ok…any ideas why this might be?
The red paint looks the same on both. Will investigate replacement decals in due course.
Very strange.
I’ve just looked at mine out of curiosity and the left has faded more than the right, not quite as extreme as yours but strange to be reversed sides.
