Hopefully getting my Ftype this week

Oh yes!<br />10 minutes after collecting it I was driving through town & while waiting at a red light a chap walked up to the side of the car, waved & gave me thumbs up! Over weekend, I left it parked at a place with lots of expensive cars around only to return to find people around it taking pictures. Most embarrassing, but I can see the babe magnet potential here. Trouble is, I'm not exactly George Clooney, which could work against me somewhat! Also, parked it outside a John Lewis collection point on Sunday & the guy who brought out the two boxes (which then didn't fit in the damn thing) said I'd made his day cos he thought it was the most beautiful car he'd ever seen in the car park. He wasn't a babe though - unfortunately! Off to collect some shiny new black XKRS wheels today so will probably attract evenore attention then.<br />Enjoy the wait & the reward will be even more worth it!

Is that the same effect as black underwear then?...interesting thought perhaps...<br /><br />Became a black van man for a while today - took my van to Northampton & returned with a shiny set of new black 20" Vulcans complete with matching Pirellis. I fitted a rear to the car when I returned, just to check on spacing. Reckon I need around 8-10mm spacers on the rear, just to maintain the same position as the originals, which should mean I won't need to worry about extending the studs. The black looks fab against the white & I'm looking forward to seeing the final effect once I've done my black vinyl wrapping of the lower bodykit bits. Trouble is, once I start with projects like this, who knows where I'll end up. <br /><br />Wonder how lurid pink & green might look...

Reminds me of Thunderbird 2 <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" alt="Big smile" title="Big smile" /><div>A deeper green perhaps like the Project 7 - metallic BRG.<br><div><br></div><div>Metallic blue as in the new Jag concept I reckon would be the mutz....</div></div>
