History Check Please.

Hi guys,

I have just bought another f type, this one is a 2014 5.0 awd with 24k miles.
It must be one of the first awd as i thought they only started in 2015.

Any way looking at the spec sheet from new it has a couple of extras charged but a hell of a lot with a 0 next to them, almost like they came factory fitted, including the carbon ceramic brakes. Now i know this was not a standard option so why do we think it has all the extras but only a couple with the costing next to them. I think it has every extra that could have been specked at the time.

Could it have been a press car?

Is it possible to get a history check please.

Original reg VE64 WKP.

This was one of a handful of prototype vehicles which were fully loaded. Prototypes are easy to spot because they won't have a CO2 figure on V5C (or if you check online) to save costs and won't have a PDI record.

The car was recovered by COPART (first record on service history) which from looking at loads of F-Types previously doesn't mean it was crashed or anything, but it was used abroad by Jaguar and collected by them. There were a few red ones in Sweden at the Ice Academy but not this early.

The only other place I have seen them is at press events such as Estoril Race Track and other circuits across Europe. All IRR with carbons and same wheels.

Of course, it might not of been. I cannot find this car online at all and it was 8+ years ago so I guess irrelevant.

My car doesn't have the same wheels and it doesn't have the red seats.

Bit concerned now as to why copart would be listed, i did 3 different car checks including car vertical and i could not see any information to say it was crashed so hopefully not.

Although Copart is pretty much only known for auctioning crashed cars, it's not all it is. They also auction off cars that are ex-fleet or rental cars.
