I picked up my Italian Racing Red V6 Convertible in the snow just over 2 weeks ago and I am so happy. Replaced a Boxster 2.7 that I'd had for almost 8 years. There is no comparison. The F Type is just more grown up. I have a few extras other than the paint - heated seats, parking pack and switchable active exhaust (which is essential). Considered a Coupe as I think it's better looking than the Convertible but finally decided I liked open top motoring so went for the roadster. Only issue so far is the noise from the vacuum pump on the active exhaust transmitting into the cabin which has a fix. Will get that done sometime. Had the roof down last week and it was marvellous. Hi Shane, and welcome to the FTOC!<div><br></div><div>Great voice of colour, and sounds like you are enjoying yourself. I had a similar experience in the new Boxter vs the F-Type; the Boxter was characterless for me and the F-Type was the epitome of a 'sportscar'.</div><div><br></div><div>I have the V8S in Italian Racing Red, and have been using it when it has been dry with the salt and frost on the road recently - Been brilliant, and had the roof down most of the time. </div><div>So pleased that I chose the heated seats and steering wheel. They both go on habitually when the sun is out this time of year. A must have for the british climate!</div><div><br></div><div>The coupe IMO is the sexier of the two to look at, however I just love to go topless at every opportunity! <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" /></div><div><br></div><div>FWIW - I can here the pump when it charges the accumulator, nothing to worry about though - at least you know it's doing its stuff.</div>

Fantastic, you will not regret going for the convertible, you just cannot beat the noise when the roof is down !! Happy Motoring<div>Jamie</div>
