The opening description is proudly reporting the modifications to the interior!

The OP purchased it but hasn't been online since December 2020.

Not been seen by Jaguar for 3+ years/20k miles roughly.

Each to their own taste. I’d need to put a couple of grand aside to ‘correct’ the interior, then it would be a nice SVR.

I keep coming back to this car, I wonder how easy it is to obtain the original interior panels. However reading the original post from 19 says stone chipped bonnet and wheel 😬

This is well appointed car in a rare colour.

According to Ftyperegistry ( US Forum) there were only 9 coupe registered in the UK.
It has nearly all options, at under 44 grand a hell of a car for the money.
If you like Firesand the chances of finding another are slim.
I've only seen one up close at meets, other than the ring Taxi at Gaydon.

So if it drives OK and your happy that it's been looked after.
I'd take C10jeepers advise and have a couple of grand spare to collect the items needed to return the interior back to origenal. Or as you would like, as and when the items appear on e Bay. A quick look and most parts are available for under £100.00 unless you'd like a bit of carbonfibre for you centre console £500.00 ish for those 3 pieces.
In the meantime you can enjoy driving a very special car.
You may find if you go and look at it upclose the photos make it look more garish than it is in real life.
There will be some ware and tear on a car with 50,000 miles and at this price, so you'd expect to do a little upgrading to get it perfect in any case.

Unfortunately the 2016 model will have the higher road tax but it won't have the petrol filter, so you get the full sound and you'll get to clean the inside of your exhaust tips now and again.

I have looked at Ftyperegistry data previously. They appear to have searched through the entire Jaguar VIN number range (must of been time consuming) to build a database of vehicle data.

The only issue is that Jaguar data is unreliable. For example some countries of registration are not populated, colours are sometimes wrong and we have seen blues cars registered as grey etc, SVO special colours are sometimes just noted as white, etc.

DVSA data suggests 130 UK registrations for SVR's in 2017 however unsure if their data is based on model year or date of registration.

Not knocking the data but might not be 100% accurate. But yes it is a rare colour. 423 SVR's were registered in the UK. Much rarer are manuals, only 213 of them and only 61 of them were the 380 'S' model.

Well
if you want a good value SVR then great (but keep it)
If you want good resale value then ignore it

regards

Thankyou all for the advice, I've kind of ruled it out stunning colour but I've kind of ruled it out for now, just needs too much done to it and would prefer a un messed car its got about 20k too many miles too.
I also need to get my backside in gear and advertise to Exige. Did I say its orange 🍊

Looks like a nice car to me if someone's looking for an SVR and that's no mileage for an F-Type.

Surely it can't be that expensive to restore the interior. A pair of new floor mats and then get a parcel/boot cover and a boot floor board from a breaker. All the orange trim pieces in the interior just look like they've been wrapped. If they are, just remove the wrap. If not possible just wrap them in a decent colour or replace with new or used standard trim and bob's your uncle.

MOT seem sketchy expires Nov 21 then next mot march 24 but 18k miles In between

As it went to Northern Ireland that might explain it being off the road or in transport for a while.

That Exige colour is tip top.
If only my joints were 20 years younger. The nightmares of getting in and out of my VX220 are still too vivid.
