Fuel pump Location

Good day all

On the 2016 V8 F Type. where is the fuel pump located and does the whole tank have to come out to replace it?
Is it a big job ?

I'm asking out of interest only at this stage.

Being a sportscar the fuel pump can often need to work hard. Does it put any stress on the components if the car is fuelled from an empty tank vs a tank that's half full ? Think of cold fuel being put into a tank with a "warm" fuel pump.
 
From the saddle shape of the fuel cell I would think the in tank unit is quite a big job yes.

However there are also two high pressure fuel pumps driven from the bottom of the engine. These can sometimes wear and cause a ticking noise which transfers up the engine block and can be mistaken for a top end tick such as valves or supercharger.

Unless you have a defined issue I would suggest that neither of these is worth changing as purely preventative maintenance.
